Georgie Monica is an illustrator and paper artist from Devon, England producing both 2D and 3D work. Her 3D models can be photographed to create multiple atmospheric 2D images. Georgie enjoys working with both modern and traditional themes, and her style has grown to incorporate influences from each. She is a lover of both the pretty and the strange, with a strong interest in decorative and calming detail but is also intrigued by the unconventional and mysterious. She is inspired by nature, everyday life and stories in all their forms including mythology, novels, films and animation. Georgie particularly enjoys depicting people and animals and aims to create windows into other lives. As well as making images she also enjoys writing and recently graduated from Falmouth University with a first class degree in illustration and the award for 'most outstanding dissertation' for her work on the satirical depiction of zombies in film.
